Hours:          All parks and trails have varying uses and hours determined by County Ordinances.

Purpose of the Organization:

Oversee the parks, trails and public grounds that Richland County owns, coordinates and/or maintains.  The parks include Akey School picnic area, Viola picnic area, and Rockbridge picnic area and campground.  The trails would includes, the Pine River Recreation trail and the Richland County Snowmobile trail.  The public grounds would include, the Richland County public rifle range, the Richland County Community Forest (Ash Creek), the Orion Boat Landing and Port Andrews Boat Landing.

Services we provide:

      1.   Oversee and upgrade parks, trails and public grounds as our budget provides.

      2.  Work with other organizations and agencies to enhance recreational opportunities in Richland County.

      3.  Work through state agencies to obtain grant or cost share funding to upgrade or enhance present and future recreational opportunities in Richland County.

Volunteer opportunities through our organization:

      1.  We have sponsored many Eagle Scout Projects in our Parks and Trail systems and are open to other projects to enhance the system from volunteer groups.

      2.  Clean up is a huge issue at times especially in the spring.  This would be a opportunity for a group or club.

      3.   We also would have opportunities for service to community projects for individuals such as painting signs or table.

      4.  We would also provide some opportunities for planting trees or shrubbery.
